Congratulations on your purchase of Zone Wheels. Your Zone wheels are genuine three-piece forged wheels built specifically for your vehicle application. With regular cleanings, the wheels should look terrific for as long as you own the vehicle.
Please note that the assembly hardware that is visible in the wheel is functional and is hand-torqued at the factory; these require no service or adjustments for the life of the wheels.
Care: Frequent and careful cleaning will keep your Zone wheels looking their best.
Clean your wheels with high-quality car wash soap and water. Let the brakes and wheels cool before washing them; most brake dust and road debris will wash away quickly and easily.
Your wheels should be treated like the paint finish on your vehicle; harsh and/or abrasive chemicals are not recommended!
DO NOT apply acid-based chemicals, as they may damage the finish.
For extremely dirty areas, a mild cleaner such as Simple Green (diluted 50/50 with water) can be used. A soft brush or cloth can be used to agitate the dirt and brake dust to lift it away, followed by a thorough rinsing with water.
When drying the wheels, compressed air can be used to reduce the amount of water in the cracks and crevices of the wheels; a clean microfiber towel should be used to wipe excess water droplets from the surfaces. A high quality auto detailing spray can be used in conjunction with a Microfiber towel to keep your wheels clean between car washes.
Tire Mounting: Zone recommends that a professional tire shop handle the task of mounting and balancing tires on your wheels. Many current model vehicles are factory-equipped with Tire Pressure Sensor units; if sensors are present in your original equipment wheels, they can be installed in your Zone wheels.
The tire installer should take steps to avoid damaging the wheels’ surfaces or silicone seal. A “road force” tire balancing procedure is recommended to ensure smooth running of the wheel and tire assembly.
Lug nut or bolt hardware should be torqued to the specifications recommended by your vehicle manufacturer. DO NOT over-torque the lug nuts/bolts! Generally, it is desirable to check and re-torque the wheels after approximately 25 miles of driving
Service: As mentioned above, the fasteners visible in your Zone wheels are functional and are tightened at the factory; these should not be tampered with or adjusted.
In the event your wheels become damaged by road hazard, they can be serviced at the factory. Return the wheel to your local Zone dealer for tire dismounting and evaluation; the dealer will ship the wheel(s) to the Zone factory for repair. Zone makes every effort to keep an inventory of rim components to minimize “down time” for wheel repairs.
Upon receiving the damaged wheel, Zone will examine the wheel and perform lateral and radial run-out tests. Zone will provide the customer with a quotation for the required repairs before commencing repairs (unless other arrangements have been made in advance). |
